First Tummy Pic!

Charles & mom have been taking stomach pictures for a while now. But if I had shared those, you might have thought or said something to the effect of what many people I see in person say..."That could be gas" or "You're not pregnant." I think that, for those of you that know me, especially recently, you know this is a bit more than eating too much or having gas. :) So this is a picture of my stomach at 18 weeks.

18 Weeks Tomorrow!

As many of you know, we are expecting our first child on December 17th! We hope to use the blog to keep many of you up to date and maybe put up a few pics of the tummy progress.

We went to the doctor last week and heard the baby's heart beat again. Always good to hear. Dr. Garcia & her nurse are fabulous and say we are doing well. And thanks to God up above they have a lab tech who does a good job with blood draws. We go for our ultrasound on July 27th and hopefully find out if it is a boy or a girl (if s/he is not too shy). Yes, we are finding out because I am too much of a planner. I know some of you prefer not to find out...more power to you, but it is either a surprise now or a surprise later, and I am thinking that I am not going to want to many surprises come labor & delivery time.

Newbie at blogging

Charles and I decided to set up our first ever blog. Probably because I am too lazy to run another website :). Charles is currently enjoying the NBA finals. Yes, I said NBA finals. You do what you have to do while you wait for college football to start up again. I am listening to the dogs wrestle in the hall and channel surfing. Ok. That's all for my first experience with blogging. We will see how this goes/went.
